Kerbside Waste & Recycling Collection Service for the Community of Alice Springs

⁠⁠⁠Alice Springs Town Council is inviting tenders for the provision of kerbside waste and recycling collection for appropriate rateable properties within Alice Springs.

Alice Springs Town Council seeks the automated collection of residual waste via mobile garbage bins and also manual collection of recycling matter presented in crates at the kerbside. Potential service providers may tender for either or both of these options. Tenders for alternative options may also be submitted to Council on the basis that respondents have also tendered for one or both of the aforementioned options.

As kerbside recycling is a new service for the Alice Springs community, an education component is sought within proposals, enabling the engagement of the community in acceptance and take-up of the recycling service.

The contract term will be for a period of five (5) years, plus a further option of two (2) years pending on a performance based review of the initial service delivered. Service commencement is sought for the first quarter of 2018.
