Edwards Street Roadworks

⁠⁠⁠Construction has begun on the new ALDI store located on the corner of Edward Street and Spencer Street. As part of the development the developer is required to reconstruct a portion of Edwards Street from Spencer Street to the new ALDI vehicle crossover and the westbound lane extending to the end of the existing median.

The remainder of the street is to be upgraded by the City of Bunbury as part of this Request and includes the reconstruction of the eastbound lane and an asphalt overlay to the angled parking and road surface between the western most point of the median and Parkfield Street highlighted.

Some minor drainage to replace brick drainage pits and upgrade the existing 225 RCP to 300 RCP is also proposed as part of the Works. Tenderers are advised that area is located in a high to moderate risk acid sulphate soil area, however the volumes of disturbance is not considered significant and the ground water table is not expected to impact the Works.
