Brussels Street Road Reconstruction and Stormwater Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠The works to be completed under this contract include:
* Removal of structures ie existing kerbs, etc required to carry out the works per the demolition layout plan
* Locate all existing services and expose and depth existing stormwater pipe at the connection point in Howard Street to verify the existing level matches the design.
* Construction of stormwater drainage infrastructure as detailed in the design documentation & reinstatement of pavement (excluding asphalt wearing course in areas to be resealed) where trenching has occurred.
* Foam protection cradles where newly constructed stormwater infrastructure is in close proximity to existing services.
* Removal and disposal of existing pavement on site, as detailed in the design documentation.
* Reconstruction of road pavement in Brussels street (except where design specifies overlay only) including driveway crossovers, and kerb and watertable.
* Localised regrading of pavement to achieve design levels
* Profile existing pavement where matching into existing by means of milling as shown in design documentation.
* Adjust levels of service covers to match new design finished surface levels
* Construct new asphalt wearing course across entire pavement width to the extent shown on the drawings
* Reinstatement of linemarking at the intersection of Rheims & Howard St.

Note: The two communications services and three sections of water main that conflict with the new stormwater installation are being relocated by the relevant authorities. Agreements have been entered into with the Authorities and works are being scheduled. While all endeavours are being made to get these services relocated prior to commencement of this civil works contract, it is expected there may be some overlap and the Contractor may have to work with the service authority (to the extent that is reasonable without causing a stop works to the Contractor).
