Construction of Skate Park Elements - Keast Park, Parkes NSW

⁠⁠⁠Keast Park is a regional park comprising both sporting and passive recreational opportunities. The Keast Park skate park and bowl forms an important component of these facilities.

Keast Park has had a master plan undertaken during 2014 which identified the need for future growth and to diversify the existing facility with a junior skate park to allow toddlers, and primary school students an opportunity to use the facility with obstructing senior age users.

As part of this planning exercise, funding was identified to scope the project, design and ensure that the project remained shovel ready.

To progress the project, a set of engineering construction plans has been developed by Trinity Skate Parks Pty Ltd in consultation with the local skating user group. From such plans, the scope of works will consist of the construction of the purpose designed concrete ramps and rails that will be affixed onto the proposed concrete base surface.

Such works will see an increase in skill based activities within the skate park as a whole and will create a cohesive look and feel across the facility.

It is anticipated that the proposed skate park extension works as described in this tender will be completed by the successful tenderer by 30 June 2017.
