Wharf 10 Fire Fighting Equipment - Replacement of Foam Concentrate

⁠⁠⁠The site comprises Wharf number 10 in Cairns seaport and the associated on shore firefighting system infrastructure.

Wharf number 10 is used for the discharge of all fuels and flammable gas imported into Cairns as well as bunkering some of the smaller coastal freight vessels.

The existing Fire fighting system was designed and constructed during 2004/2005 and commissioned in September 2005 and uses Tridol S3 firefighting foam concentrate.

The Installation generally comprises the following major components:
* Two 980 kl fresh water storage tanks
* Two diesel driven duty and standby fire pump sets drawing water from the storage tanks and delivering to two remote controlled monitors, a fire hydrant and a deluge system on the wharf head.
* A 12000 litre firefighting foam concentrate storage tank.
* Fire control building housing the Fire indicator panel and the controls for the monitors and the pumps
