Tender Description
The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently further expanding its managed motorways technology suite to facilitate changes to the speed environment of managed motorways facilities based on weather conditions. The department currently has in place a significant amount of managed motorways infrastructure, comprising roadside assets, networks and ITS software platforms.
To facilitate this capability expansion, additional equipment to sense the weather environment along selected managed motorway facilities is required. The data collected by these sensors will form an input into ITS platform software that will then modify the speed environment accordingly.
