Spatial Services (under a second EOI running in parallel) is seeking proposals for acquistion of aerial Imagery and LiDAR. This EOI will consider any potential acquisition approaches, some of which may mean Spatial Services elects not to continue with its own aircraft operations and maintenance, and direct ownership or leasing of aircraft. The purpose of this EOI is to establish options for continued aircraft operations, including costs and benefits, as a necessary input to determing the most cost effective and efficient Imagery and LiDAR acquisiton program.
Renewal in June 2017 of two aircraft contracts.
1. Operations and maintenance of VH-NSW, DFSI Spatial Services's 33 year old Cessna 421C for Imagery capture
2. Leasing and maintenance of the LiDAR capture aircraft.
The intent of the EOI is to open up and review the market place, especially around whether we continue to maintain VH-NSW. This aircraft is due for wing and structural inspections between now and June 2019, with a minimum cost of $149,000 and two months downtime.
As part of the EOI we are seeking a solution around possible disposal/selling, then leasing of an aircraft to replace VH-NSW.
The remainder of the EOI is to review suppliers for the continued delivery of the Imagery and LiDAR acquisition program.
