Tender Description
The University of Queensland has a diverse base of Fire Service assets requiring compliance testing and maintenance to meet UQ’s legislative requirements while optimising the performance of the asset over the short, medium and long-term. Fire Service asset maintenance encompasses:
* Fire Detection and Alarm Systems;
* Evacuation Systems;
* Fire System Batteries;
* Smoke Alarms;
* Fire Trace Systems;
* Auxiliary Power Supplies;
* Aspiration Systems;
* Sprinkler Systems;
* Wall / Window Drencher Systems;
* Foam Deluge Systems;
* Pre - Action Systems;
* Tanks;
* Fire Pumps - Electric;
* Fire Pumps - Diesel;
* Fire Doors;
* Gas Suppression Systems;
* Fire Hose Reels;
* Hydrant and Landing Valves;
* Fire Extinguishers and
* Fire Blankets
A strategy will be required to undertake the following tasks associated with the Fire Services Maintenance Solution.
* Compliance Testing - Routine Servicing of fire protection systems and equipment as described by Queensland Legislation and Australian Standards.
* Preventive Maintenance - Maintenance carried out to optimise performance over the short, medium and long-term of the fire asset.
* Corrective Maintenance - Repairs identified during preventive maintenance works and fault repairs caused during normal operation of the fire asset.
A Building Fire Services Lifecycle / Rehabilitation Program will also be required and is to include preventive predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
