Helicopter Charter for Geoscience Survey

⁠⁠⁠Geoscience Australia requires the charter of 2 helicopters to transport 2 passengers, 15 kg of survey equipment and up to 90kg of sampling material dependent on land transport options.

It is anticipated 10 to 15 sites can be visited a day spaced approximately 25 km apart over the aforementioned area. 6 kg samples will be collected at each site with duplicate samples approximately every tenth site. Sample collection at each site will take 10 to 15 minutes and duplicate sample sites will take 20 to 30 minutes.

During sample collection a geologist and field assistant will take and pack the soil sample, photograph the site and the samples, and record the site details and on-site measurements.
