Tender Description

The Shelters are required to be constructed within an operational railway station, and thus the majority of works are to take place in areas the travelling public and station staff can access. The Works comprise of the earthworks, trenching, fabrication, concreting, lighting, CCTV, Audio, Cardax and all other works as detailed on the Construction Drawings.

The Contractor is to supply all labour, equipment, materials and calibrated testing apparatus required to complete the works to the required standard. Excess material, including unsuitable material excavated from the site, is to be removed and disposed of at the Contractor’s cost. Unsuitable material is to be disposed of at approved facilities only, with evidence of such activities to be provided by the Contractor when requested by the PTA.

The Contractor must identify all underground services prior to works commencing and appropriate protection measures put in place to ensure underground services are not affected in any way by the works.

This RFT-PQ document has a dual purpose as follows:
* Selecting a Preferred Tenderer with a view to awarding a Contract to carry out the scope of works for upgrade to the Station Shelters listed above; and
* Selecting a panel of providers who have demonstrated a high level of capability from which future invitations to tender for future Bicycle and Motorcycle Shelter works packages for the next 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
