Tender ID: 304311
Tender Details
Tender Description
Ausgrid continually seeks efficiency improvements in every aspect of our business. Ausgrid is in the process of considering changes to contracting arrangements for the delivery of construction services within existing substations for upgrades, maintenance, repairs and minor works.
The purpose of this market consultation process is to seek market input to determine industry capability and capacity to deliver construction services within existing substations for a wide range of program works and maintenance services at Ausgrid's 2300 (approximate) substation sites.
This market consultation process also seeks industry expertise to determine key initiatives to add value to the proposed procurement and delivery method and to consider any alternative solutions.
Ausgrid is seeking responses from companies who have the proven expertise, financial capacity, experienced resources, processes and certified management systems that can safely and competently deliver the high risk construction works inside Ausgrid substations under a long term contractual agreement.
As part of that process, Ausgrid is considering a new procurement and delivery strategy that will facilitate more timely delivery of capital programs, provide a platform for potential innovation and reduce costs. The forecast Capital and Maintenance programs and Major Projects works within existing substations is estimated at $20 to $30 million per annum across the network.
Ausgrid may use responses to this Request for Information to finalise a selective market to be invited to a Request for Tenders process from which a Substation Works Panel (the Panel) will be formed. Therefore, interested companies should respond to this RFI to be considered for Phase 2 of this market engagement.
The Request for Tender process will incorporate the pricing of actual projects and programs of work to be issued to successful contractors at the commencement of the Panel.
Note - There will be NO briefing or Site visits required for this RFI.
