Tender Description
Quotation basis is to be the cost ex GST per lineal metre to excavate, remove and replace sections of damaged kerb as directed. A contingency rate per hour is also needed for the crew to adjust any mis-aligned SE pits as required. For pit adjustment work all required materials will be provided by Federation Council. Existing kerbs are predominantly B2 or B3 pattern.
Quotation must include:
* Contingency rate per hour for construction crew in pit adjustment works.
* Longitudinal saw cut to roadway 200mm from existing lip-of-kerb.
* Lateral saw cuts to existing kerb to allow removal of damaged section.
* Excavate and remove kerb and existing base material.
* Disposal of all construction debris off site.
* Supply of 32MPa premix concrete.
* Hand form concrete to same kerb pattern compliant with Vicroads current Standard Drawings.
* Starter bars to tie existing to new.
* 100mm DGB20mm base material compacted to 100% Standard MDD.
* Make good between lip of new kerb and roadway seal with premix (coldmix).
* All traffic and pedestrian control signage addressing your risk assessment.
* Barrier systems sufficient to protect the public and the works.
* Contact details of person/organisation as referee for previous similar works.
* Details of currency of relevant insurances held.
Contractor will be required to submit SWMS for approval prior to commencement of works.
Federation Council expects that the works will begin ASAP and proceed without interruption to a completion by 31st March 2017.
