The Alliance Group is looking to put in place a Group Drug Testing Provider to support a workforce of approximately 4700 during peak season for all its plants and business units throughout New Zealand. Potentially at some point, this may include testing contractors and visitors.

Alliance Group has recently decided, with the support of its unions, to introduce a group wide random drug testing program to supplement its existing drug testing regime (pre-employment, just cause and post incident). The random testing program will use saliva based testing following a successful trial at our Dannevirke Plant.

We would expect any potential supplier to be able to provide saliva based testing as part of our random programme along with the option of urine based testing for just cause, post incident and pre-employment for all our locations.

In addition we would also like the option to access testing for employees who have entered a rehabilitation agreement with the company.
