Tender Description

Australia Awards - Mongolia
Request for Tender (RFT)

  • Women’s Leadership Program (WLP) in-Australia Fellowship
  • Adelaide, Australia

Australia Awards – Mongolia, an Australian aid initiative funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), commenced on 1 July 2013, with the goal of improving human capacity in Mongolia in targeted sectors and contributing to the recognition of Australia as a valuable contributor to Mongolia’s development. The Women’s Leadership Program (WLP) is a sub-component of the Australia Awards Mongolia Program. It is designed to increase female alumni’s leadership skills and to enhance women’s professional development after completing an Australia Award.

The WLP provides leadership and development opportunities for up to 20 female and male and female alumni over an 8-month, delivered in 3 components:

  1. An 8-month leadership and professional development program in Mongolia for all participants.
  2. A 2-week intensive leadership program in Australia for selected participants.
  3. Capacity building and mentoring to the in-Mongolia provider, to deliver gender-sensitive leadership training.

It is expected that the WLP will result in the following outcomes:

  • Improved alumni leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Alumni to gain a broader and deeper knowledge of issues important to the future of Mongolia.
  • Improved opportunities for alumni to contribute to and influence the future of Mongolian society.
  • Alumni to establish and develop expanded and diversified personal and professional networks.
  • Alumni to develop links between Australia and Mongolia.
  • Alumni to gain a deeper understanding of gender equality, particularly as it relates to leadership.
