Request for Information and Offer - Longer Term Electricity Procurement Approach for Queensland Government

⁠⁠⁠The State of Queensland, acting through the Department of Housing and Public Works - Queensland Government Procurement, wishes to investigate and deliver an electricity procurement approach for the Queensland Government with a capable provider via a single overarching framework, for the supply of electricity to all classifications of Government Sites.

The Queensland Government is seeking innovative market Responses from Suppliers through this multi-stage Request for Information and Offer (RFIO) process to determine the capability of the market and options available to manage a portfolio the size and diversity of the Queensland Government.

A longer-term contract option is under consideration given the current market conditions and the longer term nature of the Government’s assets. The Principal wishes to explore procurement options linked more closely to the long term cost of generation to provide stability and a lower cost. Given the scope of the requirements and diversity of the Queensland Government portfolio, the Principal would welcome Responses from consortia.
