Picton Road Drainage Renewal Bunbury WA

The drainage section relating to these works extends along Picton Road between Henley Drive and Robertson Drive. The existing drainage asset is a reinforced concrete pipeline with deteriorated butt joints which have been subject to cracking and joint movement along its length. Sand and tree roots have entered the openings in the pipe which increases the risk of poor water flow and reduction of the backfill material above the pipe overt level.

The City of Bunbury has conducted a CCTV camera inspection of the drainage network in September- October, 2016.

The City intends to renew a section of this pipe network and individually repair butt joint connections as required to prevent future tree root intrusions and blocking of the pipe. The Contractor shall undertake the works with trenchless technology to meet the Scope of Works and Specification. Plans indicating the section of pipe proposed for relining, pit details, dimensions, specific joints to be repaired and the drainage longitudinal section are attached at Appendix A.

Full drainage CCTV inspection footage completed in October 2016 will be provided to the successful.

Tenderer. A Photographic report outlining the most relevant information of the pipeline condition is attached at Appendix B.

This project will ensure that the function of the network remains adequate into the future.

The Contract includes:
* Relining a section of the pipe network and repairing joints as per the Specification;
* The required pipe camera inspections; and
* Cleaning of pipes and all necessary activities that guarantee the quality of the works as per the Specification.
