PIRSA200 - The South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) is calling for EOI (s) to purchase Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas) spat located at SARDI Aquatic Sciences, 2 Hamra Avenue, West Beach, SA 5024.
The larvae and spat, which were reared in the Aquarium Room/hatchery, SARDI Aquatic Sciences have appeared healthy during culture and no clinical signs of infectious disease have been detected.
The spat will be graded before dispatch to ensure a size range between 500µm and 750 µm. If the amount of spat required within this size range is unavailable, then spat within the 750µm - 1000µm will be used to reach the desired quota. The number of spat provided will be approximately 10 million.
