Domestic Waste & Recycling Service

⁠⁠⁠This is a contract for the collection of Garbage and Recyclables. The successful Tenderers' responsibilities will include:

* The supply, as required, and maintenance of new or reconditioned, to the reasonable satisfaction of the City of Darwin, 240L mobile wheelie bins throughout the area to be serviced for domestic garbage and recyclables collection;

* The option to supply and maintain of new or reconditioned, to the reasonable satisfaction of the City of Darwin, alternative size mobile wheelie bins throughout the area to be serviced for domestic garbage collection;

* The supply, as required, and maintenance of new or reconditioned, to the reasonable satisfaction of City of Darwin, 1100L lidded plastic mobile wheelie bins for domestic multi-residential developments as directed;

* The supply, as required, and maintenance of new or reconditioned, to the reasonable satisfaction of City of Darwin, skip bins for domestic multi-residential developments as directed;

* A once weekly domestic mobile wheelie bin kerbside garbage collection service for kerbside Service-Entitled Premises;
* A once weekly mobile wheelie bin manual garbage collection service for approved Special On-Property Collections;
* A fortnightly domestic mobile wheelie bin recycling collection service for kerbside Service-Entitled Premises;
* A fortnightly 240L mobile wheelie bin manual recyclable collection service for approved Special On-Property Collections;
* A twice weekly 240L domestic mobile wheelie bin garbage collection for manual Service-Entitled Premises;
* A once weekly 240L domestic mobile wheelie bin recyclables collection for manual Service-Entitled Premises;
* A once or twice weekly collection of 1100L lidded plastic bins for multi-residential developments;
* The collection of skip bins for domestic multi-residential developments;
* Provision of a Customer Call Centre incorporating a complaints hotline service;
* Collection of animal carcasses from public places within the service area and disposal to landfill as directed; and
* Monthly disinfection of all manual service bins.
* Operation of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for the processing of recyclables collected from domestic households.
