Installation of Culverts Retendered

⁠⁠⁠Note: This is a Re-tender of RFT 08-2016/17 (which closed on the 9th November 2016).

There is a Mandatory Briefing and Site Inspection at 9.00am, Monday 19 December 2016, located opposite the East Pilbara Arts Centre Building on Newman Drive, Newman 6753.

The purpose of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to seek the services of a registered Company or Contractors to undertake a lump sum pricing for the installation of 300 metres of reinforced and interlocking Dallcon box culverts including custom made bends for Newman Drainage Improvements and drain cleaning through vegetation removal, located at Newman Drive, Newman 6753. (Refer Appendix 2-location of Newman drain, Appendix 3-Cardno drawing list-6 drawing in total and Dallcon Drainage Culvert drawing list-2 in total) which includes, but not limited to, the following key milestones:
* Provide comprehensive and safe engineering methods in accordance with the attached appendices and related Australian Standards pertaining to the installation of 300 metres of reinforced and interlocking box culverts including custom made bends;
* Rock hand pitching of embankments are NOT included in this RFT;
* Excavation of the existing drain bed and removal of ALL unsuitable spoil is to be included in the RFT;
* Any de-watering OR water redirection is to be included in this RFT;

Prior to installation of culverts removal of reeds from bed and weeded vegetation from embankments for drain sections 0-300m and 325m to 550m shall be untaken and disposed of at Newman Tip in Yates Road.
* Removal of established trees (where practicable) to be avoided;
* Scope of Works completed within the allocated and agreed time frame;
* Standardisation with existing Shire infrastructure (where applicable).

The Work Site is to remain closed to the public at all time and until the contractor has achieved practical completion and subsequently approved by the Shire of East Pilbara. Any Rain Damage to the creek bed and surrounding infrastructures integrity MUST be dealt with as an Emergency (refer to point 3.6).
