Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the carrying out and completion of minor works for Killarney Heights Oval irrigation system. The scope of works includes a new sports field irrigation system.

The new system shall engage new technology to minimize use of town water and provide a improved level of sustainability not only through improved irrigation efficiencies and assets but through the delivery of other flow on effects that the new irrigation system will provide to the management of this park.

The town water has a reasonable supply through the existing 40mm town water meter at a recorded 3lt/sec however the static pressure is low and the pressure at flow is lower again at around 200kPa. This a small balance tank and submersible pump at an almost balanced flow is required to be installed.

The nominal tank capacity to be 15kl or greater to ensure suitable airgap at the top of the tank is maintained and sufficient drawdown with a retained water cover over the submersible pump.
