This includes wherever possible, consolidating suppliers and providing efficient, uniform services throughout the whole of the company.
Manpower currently utilises a range of assessment techniques, including psychometric testing, to determine an individual's suitability. The purpose of this assessment is two-fold: firstly, to determine whether an individual is sufficiently robust and resilient to cope with the stresses of the organisation's environment, and secondly, to assess a candidate's aptitude for the particular occupation for which they are applying.
Manpower use outcomes of the psychometric assessments alongside interviews, application forms, academic results and other selection methods. The results obtained from psychometric testing provide valuable insight in determining a candidate's suitability to perform a specific role within a client's organisation.
The current recruiting model adopts a static approach, whereby candidates are assessed on multiple cognitive domains within a controlled, proctored, group environment, undertaken within recruiting facility. However, the need for improved efficiency and sophistication in terms of system infrastructure and assessment techniques, as well as the intent to attract a more diverse workforce, has meant that a more flexible approach is required.
The psychometric assessments included in the scope are those which would aim to measure any of the following attributes, as stratified at the various organisational levels: Intelligence, Reasoning Ability, Emotional Intelligence, and Aptitude. Due to their importance in making recruitment related decisions it is vital that the psychometric instruments themselves are known to produce accurate results based on known sound and proven psychometric properties and statistical principles.
Consequently, Manpower are seeking to engage a vendor to design and deliver a solution that enables the administration of web-based testing, which will form a critical element within a suitability assessment model.
