Traveston Commercial Roadside Facility

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Government is seeking Offers from Proponents with demonstrated experience in owning and operating Commercial Roadside Facilities (CRFs) and Drive Rest Areas (DRAs) to design and construct a CRF and DRA on an approximately 6 hectare parcel of land (Site) near the Bruce Highway and Traveston Road interchange.

The State is willing to offer a lease over the CRF and additional balance land a Proponent may require to contribute to their overall development outcome (excluding the DRA). The CRF must, among other things detailed in the ITO, and at no cost to the State:
* Provide goods and services that encourage road users to break their journey and avoid driver fatigue;
* Incorporate a DRA that is adequately separated from the road and provides facilities which encourage both light and heavy vehicle drivers to achieve effective rest;
* Allow for the easy installation of electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure (including a parking area for up to four light vehicles - with rights over this area to be reserved by the State) as part of the government's electric vehicle superhighway initiative.
