Debt Recovery Legal Services

⁠⁠⁠WorkCover Queensland (WorkCover) requires debt recovery legal services in the recovery of unsecured debt, including:
* The recovery of unpaid premiums from employers;
* Recovery of compensation and/or damages paid where employers are uninsured; and
* Recovery of overpaid compensation benefits.

WorkCover has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objectives of appointing a small panel of suppliers under an SOA for the provision of debt recovery legal services to WorkCover for an initial 2 year period with the possibility to extend for a further 3 periods of up to 1 year each at the discretion of WorkCover.

The following points are mandatory criteria:
* Supplier is able to comply with the jurisdictional requirements of WorkCover (as our office is located in Brisbane and most employers are also based in Brisbane, the majority of matters must be lodged in Brisbane courts);
* Staff to be engaged in managing WorkCover’s debt recoveries must have all necessary qualifications, licenses and experience;
* Access to a single point of contact or single account manager for all WorkCover matters;
* Supplier must have the ability or willingness to be able to work within an electronic file environment that interacts effectively with WorkCover’s electronic files, with the potential to move towards working within WorkCover’s operating system during the period of this contract;
* Provide contact details for 2 referees, including name, company, and phone number;
* Hold Public Liability insurance cover for a minimum of $10 Million; and
* Hold Professional Indemnity insurance cover for a minimum of $2 Million.
