Vehicle inspections in Western Australia are conducted by the Department of Transport’s Vehicle Examination Centre (Welshpool) and Authorised Inspection Stations (AIS). The network of AIS ensures people have access to quality vehicle inspection services in locations that are accessible and convenient.

To maintain and where required, expand the network of AIS, the Department is establishing a pool of pre-qualified organisations who may be invited to become an AIS, if and when required.

The Department is inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified organisations with an established service location/s in the Perth Metropolitan Area, to be included in the above mentioned pool, to perform vehicle inspection services for Light and/or Heavy Vehicles.

Note: All existing AIS Do Not need to register an expression of interest, as these will be placed in the pool, if they wish to continue to be an AIS, in the year their AIS agreement expires.
