The City of Canada Bay is seeking to commission public artwork to be installed on signal boxes in Rhodes.

The Vision
The vision is for a public artwork to be installed on the RMS Signal Boxes in the Rhodes Peninsula. This project aims to achieve public art that resonates with local culture and encourages linking of history, community and the physical space including the roads and walkways.

Public Art Principles
Council has invested in the development of a Public Arts Plan for the Rhodes peninsula which outlines principals guiding the development of public art in the area. An important part of this place making plan is that the public art is enjoyed by the incoming residents, workers, visitors and the existing local community.

EOI Submissions
Interested artists are invited to submit an Expression of Interest. Your submission should provide the following:

* Images of previous work & relevant projects completed (maximum 10 images)
* Current curriculum vitae
* Written description of proposed artistic approach: the public artwork’s meaning, location, how it relates to the site and the artists practice, fabrication method and materials (maximum 250 words)
* Rudimentary concept or design sketch Concept feasibility: to be able to be achieved within the allocated budget and time frame
