Eurobodalla Shire Council (ESC) is inviting tenders for submissions for a schedule of rates tenders to transport, recycle or reuse biosolids from Council's facilities at Surf Beach and an additional transport rate for the other sewage treatment facilities if required.
ESC's sewage treatment process produces biosolids which are currently accepted at Council's facilities at Surf Beach. The biosolids are produced either from drying beds or directly from the treatment plant after they are dried through a centrifuge. Council is not currently in a position to process this material into a reusable product or able to find suitable land for application and requires the tenderer to transport and reuse / recycle the biosolids in an EPA approved process or facility. This is an ongoing requirement and the biosolids need to be removed on a continual basis.
