DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
WILUNA MAIN ROADS DEPOT – Supply & Installation of a New Chainwire Fence around lots 1075 and 1076.
- This project involves the supply and installation of security fencing to surround Lots 1075 and 1076 in Wiluna. There is no internal fence. Quote on 180 lineal metres.
- Fence to be 1,800mm high plus three strands of barbed wire are to be included on the top of the fence. Total of 2,250mm high.
- Three (3) sets of double gates are to be fitted. Each gate leaf to be 2,900mm to make a 5,800mm opening. See the drawing for location details.
NEW FENCE AND GATES
1. Supply and install 180 metres of 2,250mm high Galvanised Chainlink fencing. Contractors to quote on 180 metres as we are basing this on two quarter acre blocks, 50 metres by 20 metres. Any difference in length will be worked out after award.
2. Supply and install Three (3) sets of double gates. Opening to be 5,800mm wide. Location as to supplied sketch/photo.
SPECIFICATION:
Chainlink – 50mm pitch x 2.5mm Wire Heavy Galvanised Quality (W10Z)
Gates Posts – Pipe Size DN80 - 88.9mm OD medium pipe grade x 4.0mm (minimum) wall thickness galvanised pipe.
Strainer Terminal, Corner and End Posts – Pipe Size DN50 - 60.3 mm OD medium pipe grade x 3.6mm (minimum) wall thickness galvanised pipe.
Intermediate Posts - Pipe Size DN40 - 48.3 mm OD light pipe grade x 2.9mm (minimum) wall thickness galvanised pipe. Intermediate posts to be at a maximum spacing of 3,330mm.
Back Stays and Bracing Posts - Pipe Size DN32 - 42.4 mm OD light pipe grade x 2.6mm (minimum) wall thickness galvanised pipe. Backstays to be on a minimum of each third post. B
Fittings- Connections & bolts to be galvanised externally and internally.
Support Cables- Shall be 2 strands of 3.15mm diameter galvanised to match chainwire located at the top, bottom and mid section of the fence.
Lacing- Lace/clip chainwire to the outside of posts and support cables.
Tie and lace chainwire using a minimum 2mm thick galvanised wire.
Footings # Please Note: Rapid Set or similar is NOT to be used
Gates (Double) - Fabricate and weld outer frame with galvanised tube 42.4mm x 3.2mm thickness.
TIMING OF WORKS
Installation is to be done within six (6) weeks of award.
CLEAN UP
On completion of the work, the contractor is required to remove all rubbish, debris and fencing materials from site.
GUARANTEE
All works carried out has a 52 weeks defect period starting from the practical completion date.
HANDOVER
Provide 48 hours prior notice requesting BMW inspection, attend site and confirm completion of all works to the satisfaction of the Superintendent’s Representative.
