Consultancy Services for Security Review of Rural Facilities and Aged Care Facilities

⁠⁠⁠The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service is seeking Proposals for a review of security at its Rural Facilities and Aged Care Facilities.

It does not include the Toowoomba Hospital, the Baillie Henderson Hospital or Primary Healthcare Facilities in the rural division. 

BACKGROUND
The DDHHS has a footprint of 90,000 square km and 26 locations. This security review applies only to the Rural facilities and Nursing Homes listed in the scope and excludes Toowoomba fascilities and the Rural Primary Healthcare Clinics.

• Taroom
• Tara
• Millmerran
• Warwick (and The Oaks Nursing Home)
• Stanthorpe
• Texas
• Inglewood
• Goondiwindi
• Nanango
• Kingaroy
• Wondai (and Forest View Nursing Home)
• Murgon
• Cherbourg
• Mt Lofty Nursing Home (Toowoomba)

The objectives of the service request are to address a number of issues that have been raised through Internal Audit processes or arising from ACHS Audits. These audit reports and their recommendations will be made available to the successful Offeror.

Outcomes/deliverables for the service requirement/s are for Offerors to review Scurity at each of the facilities named, to provide a report that provides advice how to address the audit and other compliance issues raised with respect to security and to provide any other meaningful recommendations that will assist the DDHHS to improve security at its facilities.

A report of the physical security of each of the facilities.

A plan for improving security so that contemporary standards can be met

An audit tool or process that can be used by Director of Nursing or Facility Manager to ensure that best practice (highest achieveable level) is being met with respect to the security and physical wellbeing of staff and protection of assets

The successful Offeror is required to work collaboratively with the Eligible Customer.
