Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) manage two iconic events each year in South Australia, the Credit Union Christmas Pageant (CUCP) and the Santos Tour Down Under (TDU).

The SATC requires temporary scaffold, platforms and/or grandstands to be supplied, delivered, installed and dismantled in order to provide raised areas for corporate patrons and spectators to have an advantageous viewing point of each event.

Credit Union Christmas Pageant
It is acknowledged that seating systems come in various configurations and that the successful supplier may nominate in the submission how many people can be seated as close to the number provided within this requirement.
In order for the grandstands at the CUCP to be uniform and consistent, the SATC undertakes to ensure the supply of sufficient seating for the SATC, Credit Unions and the Adelaide City Council requirements. Although it is not the SATC’s obligation to order or purchase the full supply, each purchaser will undertake their own order.

Victoria Square Grandstands
The successful supplier will be required to provide within their quotation three separate pricings:-

  • Option A SATC supply only, seating for approximately 300 people
  • Option B SATC & Credit Unions, seating for approximately 570 people
  • Option C SATC, Credit Unions & Adelaide City Council, seating for approximately 930 people.

Delivery and installation of the grandstands can commence after 0930 on Thursday 10 November 2016. The grandstands must be completed, certified and ready for occupation by 1800 on Friday 11 November 2016.
Commencement of pulldown can commence at the completion of the pageant and must be finalised by 12 noon on Sunday 13 November 2016.

Each price structure submitted will demonstrate a build schedule to reflect the completion time of 1800 on the evening prior to the Pageant.

Channel 9 Kintore Avenue
The SATC requires 130 seats as demonstrated in the following drawing(view through link below).
Delivery and installation can commence from 0500 Saturday 12 November 2016.
Completion required by 0900 Saturday 12 November 2016.
Removal can commence at the completion of the pageant but must be finalised by 1430 Saturday 12 November 2016.


Channel 9 Scaffold TV tower North Terrace
The SATC requires the supply and installation of a tv tower.
Delivery and installation can commence from 0930 Friday 11 November 2016.
Completion required by 1400 Friday 11 November 2016.
Removal can commence at the completion of the pageant but must be finalised by no later than 1400 Saturday 12 November 2016.


Santos Tour Down Under
The following dates will make up the 2017 Tour Down Under:-
• 14 January – Team Presentations and Concert
• 15 January - People’s Choice Classic
• 16 January – TDU Rest day
• 17 January – Stage 1 Unley to Lyndoch
• 18 January –Stage 2 Stirling to Paracombe
• 19 January – Stage 3 Glenelg to Victor Harbor
• 20 January – Stage 4 Norwood to Campbelltown
• 21 January – Stage 5 McLaren Vale to Willung Hill
• 22 January – Stage 6 Adelaide City Circuit

Grandstands – Classic - Sunday 17 January 2017
This day is host to the People’s Choice Classic held in Adelaide’s East End. This is a criterium race held around Rymill Park. Grandstands will need to be installed along Rundle Road. The specifications are below:

  • a. Supply, installation and removal of 3 tier seating structure and corporate deck behind with disabled access ramp as per drawings;
  • b. Installation and removal of Events South Australia owned bar tops to corporate deck;

Access will be available via Western end of Wakefield Road, entry through road closure.

Install on Wakefield Road (During full road closure implemented by SATC) from Wednesday 11 January 2017.
Completion certified and ready for occupation by 12 noon Saturday 14 January 2017.
Removal can commence from 0500 Monday 16 January 2017.
Complete Removal by 1500 Monday 16 January 2017

Grandstands – Scaffolding – Stage 6 - Sunday 22 January 2017
Host to the final stage of racing. At the end of this stage a winner is awarded the Ochre Jersey. The start and finish location for the stage is along King William Road, near Elder park and the Adelaide Festival Centre. The structures will need to be installed parallel with King William Road within the ‘staging area’, and SATC will arrange traffic management for safe installation of the grandstand structures.

The contractor have safe access to the site via the Southern end of King William Road.

Install on King William Road (During contraflow closure implementation by SATC) from 10am Wednesday 18 January 2017.
Refer Plan 1 for ‘working hours’ (9:30-3:30pm) and Plan 2 for ‘Out of working hours’
Complete certified and ready for occupation by 12 Noon Saturday 21 January 2017
Removal can commence from 1800 Sunday 21 January 2017
Complete removal by 0200 Monday 22 January 2017
 

 

 


Location
