Tender Description
The Bunbury City Council (City) is planning the construction of a new works depot consisting of office accommodation, workshop space and associated amenities. It is proposed that the project will be delivered via a design and construct (D&C) model given the tight time frames required to make the site operational.
The Scope of Works includes but is not limited to the following;
a) Suitability qualified consultants to compile documentation to a standard (50% design) that allows the City to proceed to a D&C.
b) The consultant will undertake consultation with all stakeholders and develop drawings and documentation for the design and construction tender contractor.
c) The 50% design will be used by the design and construction contractor to finalise the design and undertake the construction and that the design and construction contractor will capture the key elements of the City's requirements with some areas such as manufacturer selection being determined.
d) The City is keen to ensure the project is energy efficient with an emphasis on operational costs as well as construction costs whilst considering local or site specific issues.
e) The design consultant will consider services associated with but not limited to Structural, Civil, Hydraulics, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting Services, integrated with an energy efficiency design for the City of Bunbury Works Depot.
f) The design is to be developed to take advantage of sustainable energy generation via integrated solar and/or other suitable sustainable technologies. The Consultant is expected to provide the City will a full Cost Benefit Analysis for any such technology.
