Tenders are invited from contractors pre-qualified with RMS under the National Pre-qualification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts to facilitate the future upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Woolgoolga and Ballina, known as HW10 Pacific Highway Upgrade from Pimlico Road to Teven Road, Stage 3 - Section 11.

The scope of works includes but is not limited to;
* Construction of a section of southbound carriageway on the Pacific Highway from Stn 123,063 to Stn 124,940;
* Demolition of the existing bridges over Duck Creek and Emigrant Creek (both on the old Pacific Highway alignment);
* Construction of new bridges over the same creek crossings for the new southbound alignment;
* Excavation of sections of the existing Pacific Highway formation;
* Ground treatment, earthworks and pavement construction for the new southbound Pacific Highway;
* Realigning Pimlico Road intersection to create a new permanent junction with the Pacific Highway

This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation.

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project.

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme at the time of entering into the contract for the contract work and while the contract work is being carried out. Information on the Scheme is available on the Australian Government website at www.fsc.gov.au.

Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded.
