Fire and Gas System (FGS) & Safety Instrumented System (SIS)

⁠⁠⁠Woodside is planning development of the Greater Enfield Area, which consists of the Norton over Laverda, Cimatti and Laverda Canyon fields. The selected development concept is a subsea tie-back to the existing Ngujima-Yin FPSO facility.

Aibel Singapore has been awarded a contract by Woodside for the Detailed Engineering of Topsides Modification of the Greater Enfield Area Development(GED).

Safety System Integrator & Supplier (Triconex):
Triconex is both the name of a Schneider Electric brand that supplies products, systems and services for safety, critical control and turbomachinery applications and the name of its hardware devices that utilize its TriStation application software. Triconex products are based on patented Triple modular redundancy (TMR) industrial safety-shutdown technology certified to SIL3 applications in accordance with International standard IEC61508/61511.

Currently, the Ngujima-Yin FPSO has Triconex as its primary SIS and FGS system.

Under the Greater Enfield development (GED) project, several new Safety signals and Fire & Gas signals will be added, which will result in the need for additional capacity in the existing Triconex SIS and FGS.
