Tender ID: 283790
Tender Details
Tender Description
The first stage of the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Project (KRRP) is a project to deliver a Resources Recovery Facility (RRF) at Kimbriki. The second stage, being a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), will be procured via a separate process.
KEE will engage a contractor (Project Company) to build, own, operate and maintain the RRF on an area with project approval located within the Kimbriki site at Ingleside.
The project approval specifies aerobic composting inside tunnels and all operations must be conducted within fully enclosed buildings under negative air pressure. Environmental controls are of paramount importance to Kimbriki and its local residents and Tenderers must be able to demonstrate a proven record of operating facilities under similar regulatory conditions to those in place within NSW.
The Project Company will have a concession period for 20 years after the RRF is completed for operations. At the end of the 20 year term the Project Company will handover the asset to KEE at no cost (BOOT).
The RRF will process up to 100,000 tonnes per annum of Council Putrescible Waste and Council Food and Garden Waste.
A project briefing will be held on site at 10.00am on Friday 9 September 2016 for all Tenderers who have registered through TenderLink.
