Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Roads and Maritime Services is committed to implementing appropriate environmental management and mitigation measures at all stages of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade. To facilitate this, suitably qualified and experienced ecological specialists are invited to tender for biodiversity monitoring of threatened species, populations and communities identified within the approved management plans for all sections from Woolgoolga to Ballina.

This scope of work involves implementing construction and operational monitoring for threatened:
* Flora
* Rainforest species
* Frogs
* Invertebrates
* Coastal emu
* Gliders
* Fish
* Mammals.

Annual reporting and Geographical Information System (GIS) recording is required on each species in accordance with each of the relevant threatened species management plans for the Project. The work will involve detailed coordination and project management of monitoring specialists to ensure monitoring and reporting is conducted and submitted at the nominated times.

This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation.

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project.

Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded. Copies of the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines are available at www.procurepoint.nsw.gov.au nd www.industrialrelations.nsw.gov.au respectively.

This is a joint Australian and NSW government funded project.

The Building Code 2013 (Building Code) and the Supporting Guidelines to the Building Code 2013 (Supporting Guidelines) applies to this project. This document can be viewed at the Australian Government website at www.employment.gov.au/BuildingCode.

All applicants must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
