Suitably qualified contractors are invited to tender on the design and construction of Woodburn to Broadwater Service road as part of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade.

Prospective tenderers must be prequalified with Roads and Maritime Services under the National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts, at the prequalification class (or higher) - Roadworks Category R3 and Financial Category F50, or higher and must have substantial experience in similar works.

The scope of works includes but is not limited to:
* Construction of the main alignment of Woodburn-Broadwater Service Road next to the existing Pacific Highway through the Broadwater National Park. All clearing and grubbing, earthworks, drainage, road surface, primer, seal, road barriers, fencing, road furniture and other ancillary works required for the road construction.
* Construction of a bridge over a fauna passage on the service road, including installation of tubular piles.
* Design and construction of temporary intersections / site access at approximate CH 137.100, CH 145.600 and CH 140.700
* Backfill to an existing dam, traffic staging and demolition, utility adjustment and property adjustment works required to properties affected by the works.

This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation.

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project.

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme at the time of entering into the contract for the contract work and while the contract work is being carried out. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded.
