Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) requires the services of a contractor to undertake the geotechnical investigations for the replacement of six existing timber bridges within Council's boundary.
The investigations will involve undertaking boreholes to confirm bed rock levels and laboratory testing and reporting in accordance with AS1726 and AS5100.3. Works As Executed drawings are unavailable for the existing bridges and pile founding levels are unknown.
The deliverables include preparation of a Geotechnical Interpretive Report (GIR) providing an assessment of the foundation conditions encountered at the site.
Chemical testing of the soil at each of the bridge sites shall also be carried out to enable the bridge designer to determine the appropriate exposure classification of the site.
