Lease – Splashez Aquatic Centre

⁠⁠⁠Lease Operation of Splashez Aquatic Centre (On Site Resident / Lessee / Operator)

Council seeks expressions of interest from parties interested in operating “Splashez Aquatic Centre” in Isa Street, Mount Isa, Queensland on a daily basis.

Splashez Aquatic Centre comprises an up to date partly shaded 50 metre 7 lane swimming pool, a fully shaded free form leisure pool with rapid river and water features, separate plant room, grandstand, a club room, toilet block, kiosk and on site residence.
 
The facility is located in close proximity to Councils Family Fun Park, Skate Park, the Police Citizens Youth Club, Kruttschnitt Oval and within walking distance of the CBD.

The facility is heated over the winter season and is to be available for year round use.
 
The grounds are fully grassed with established gardens and numerous shade structures over both activity and recreation areas.

Council would be interested in discussing all expressions of interest to manage and operate this facility and would consider any of the following options:

* Long term lease (3 years - with option to extend subject to annual performance review)
* Short term lease (1 year – with option to extend subject to annual performance review)

In return Council would expect the following services (including but not limited to):

* Daily operation of the facility including provision of labour, services, programs and refreshments
* Routine testing, recording and adjustment to water quality
* Daily & routine maintenance & adjustment of plant & equipment (Water Treatment certification required)
* Supply and / or Procurement of Chemicals and consumables (subject to negotiation)
* Annual maintenance of plant & equipment
* Daily & routine maintenance of grounds including mowing, pruning, weeding & planting
* Daily & routine cleaning of facilities including pools, toilets and buildings
* Operation of kiosk
* Provision of kiosk facilities
* Lifesaving Services (Appropriate certification required)
* Other programs to suit the Mount Isa & regional communities
