EOI - Dayman Park Building - Lease to (Not-for-Profit) Communit Group

⁠⁠⁠Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from not-for profit community groups for a lease over its building at Dayman Park shown below.  A lease may be approved for individual groups or shared use.

The land upon which the building is located is a Reserve for Park and Recreation over which Council is Trustee. Any lease offered will be subject to Council and Department of Natural Resources & Mines approval, and prepared in accordance with Council’s Policy for leasing to Community Groups (Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture and Community).

Commercial use of the building is not permitted. It is to be noted that the building has no kitchen, other than a sink, and no internal toilets.  However public toilets adjoin the building, and power and water are available. Any proposed improvements to the building must be approved by Council and carried out at the Lessee’s expense.

Interested parties should email the following details to Council at tender@frasercoast.qld.gov.au marked “Attention: Senior Property Officer –Dayman Park Lease” by no later than Friday 16 September 2016.

A copy of their Certificate of Incorporation
A copy of their Certificate of Currency with a public liability amount of $20 million
A copy of their Financial Statements
Details regarding the membership of the group e.g. number of members
Details regarding the proposed use of the building
Advice regarding how funds raised are spent to benefit the community
