The University of Sydney seeks proposals for the supply of A Real Time Digital Simulator System (RTDS) which is an essential part of infrastructure required for experimental research in the area of distributed resources under smart grid.
The impact of this project is the reduction of global warming and greenhouse gas-emissions through the use of renewable energy resources and electric vehicles.
Integrating and coordinating these technologies with electricity grids to form a smarter future grid can minimise the need for costly infrastructure upgrades, improve electricity security and energy efficiency, and increase reliability and customer satisfaction.
This will lead to an ecologically sustainable electricity grid in Australia.
