The Shire of Upper Gascoyne (the Principal) has recognised the need to improve its existing crossing at the Gascoyne River and has proposed to do so by the construction of two sequential bridges separated by a raised causeway (the Project). The Principal has proposed to undertake the Project by separating the Works into two separate work packages. The first work package, which will be undertaken by a Bridge Contractor comprises the supply and installation of steel piles, steel headstocks, concrete decking and concrete approach slabs. The second work package will be undertaken by the Shire of Upper Gascoyne and comprises the remainder of the works including all earthworks, pavements and traffic management.

The Principal has recognised that the Shire of Upper Gascoyne has limited resources and will require additional support services to complete its work package. Therefore, as one of the support services, the Principal is seeking to appoint a Contractor to undertake rock pitching on bridge abutments and road floodway associated with the construction of two bridges at Gascoyne Junction.
