Biodiversity Offset Restoration at Eviron Quarry and Landfill

⁠⁠⁠This Request for Offer has been prepared for the purpose of engaging a suitably qualified and experienced provider to undertake on-ground habitat restoration works at Eviron Road Quarry and Landfill site (Eviron Rd Q&L), at Eviron, within the Tweed Local Government Area (Lot 1 DP1159352, Lot 602 DP1001049 and Lot 1 DP34555). Refer to the attached Eviron Road Quarry and Landfill Restoration Plan (TSC, 2016) for locality and site plans.

Tweed Shire Council has Part 3A concept and Stage 1 approvals (#08_0067 and #08_0068) as determined under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) are required to establish two new quarries, three landfills and a haul road at the site. The habitat restoration works are a requirement of the Biodiversity offset conditions listed on the planning approvals.

This contract relates to the ecological restoration works required in Conservation Area 2 and 3 of the site. These areas were strategically selected to establish and/or enhance wildlife corridors across the site. Refer to Figures 3-5.

The Eviron Road Quarry and Landfill Restoration Plan, developed by TSC, is to guide on-ground habitat restoration works. In summary, the proposed restoration works include the following items:
* Coordinate seed collection and propagation
* Site preparation
* Out-planting
* Maintenance and monitoring
* Reporting and meetings
* Project management
