The University seeks responses from agencies for the provision of qualified nursing and midwifery staff to undertake the role of Clinical Facilitator / Supervisor for Western Sydney University nursing and midwifery students.
An essential requirement of the undergraduate nursing course is the provision of clinical placement. The School of Nursing and Midwifery is required to provide a quality clinical placement experience for each student in order for students to meet their AHPRA registration requirements. The placements are provided in public, private and community facilities across a range of nursing fields such as mental health, aged care, medical, surgical and community health. The students generally work morning or afternoon shifts of eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days a week (Monday to Friday) although this may vary with the facility. The students can be placed anywhere in the Greater Sydney region, regionally and remotely. Agencies may be selected to provide services in one or multiple Local Health Districts.
