Byron Shire Council is seeking quotes from suitably experienced excavator operators for the wet hire if an excavator for the purpose of constructing the Bangalow Weir Remediation Works.

Operators will have extensive experience working in creeks and with the placement of rocks to construct a strong rock structure. This project will be constructing rock pools to form a fish ladder in Byron Creek.

The operator will be working under the guidance of a NSW Soil Conservation Service staff member, who will be running the project. A Byron Shire Council works crew will be providing additional labour and support.
