Maranoa Regional Council will be undertaking the upgrade of Fairview Road to meet future (predicted) traffic demands.

This tender is requesting offers for accommodating and catering for Council’s project workforce within the Injune region during the construction phase of the project.

The Fairview Road upgrade project is estimated to commence in August 2016, with the tender applying for accommodation from 15 August 2016.

The construction phase is projected to span eight and a half (8.5) calendar months and will bring both Council employees and its contractors to the Injune region. Please note that a project shutdown of up to 4 weeks is planned over the Christmas / New Year period, meaning that actual construction work and associated accommodation requirements will occur over approximately 7.5 months.

It is envisaged that the project will have a minimum workforce of 26 employees, but room demand may expand depending on the project requirements.

It is not essential for a single tenderer to have capacity to accommodate all project personnel. Tenderers are asked to specify within the Tender Response the number of rooms offered as part of this tender.

Council intends to work an 11 day fortnight, therefore requiring 10 consecutive nights’ accommodation per cycle (Monday night week 1 through to and including Wednesday night week 2). The tender seeks to secure accommodation for the minimum workforce, and lock in fixed rates applicable to additional rooms as they are required.
