RFT - Design & Construct King Island Water Infrastructure Improvement Project

⁠⁠⁠TasWater proposes to build a new Raw Water Intake, Water Treatment Plant and Clear Water Storage tanks to improve the quality and reliability of the water TasWater delivers to their King Island customers.

This Contract is for a full functioning Water Treatment System for the King Island Water Infrastructure Improvement (KIWII) project including but not limited to:

1. Raw Water Intake (RWI) - Located at Upper Grassy Dam, raw water is pumped to the new WTP via a new raw water intake, pump station and rising main;
2. King Island Water Treatment Plant (WTP) - Located adjacent to the Gentle Annie reserve, raw water is treated to supply 1.2ML of treated water over a 20 hour period of operation over a 24 hour period for the townships of Grassy and Currie on King Island, Tasmania;
3. Gentle Annie CWS - Located adjacent to the WTP, treated water is stored in the new 0.5ML Gentle Annie CWS which supplies the township of Grassy and the Currie CWS via gravity main.
4. Currie (Nugara) CWS - Located at Currie, treated water is stored in the new 1.0ML Currie CWS which supplies the township of Currie via a gravity main. The Currie CWS also includes a re-chlorination station to maintain chlorine residual levels in the CWS tank.
