Arts Queensland - Arts Propertis and Facilieties is seeking ExpressionS of Interest for the Principal Design Team for the Anzac Legacy Gallery Project
Purpose - Arts Queensland (AQ) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Pre-Qualified consultants (Level 3) for the commission of a Principal Design Team (PDT) to provide design services for the Anzac Legacy Gallery project.
* The Principal Design Team role includes architectural and ‘services’ disciplines as required.
* The Principal Design Team will coordinate and have overall responsibility for the work and consult, liaise and negotiate with AQ and Queensland Museum (QM) representatives throughout the project.
Project Overview - The proposed Anzac Legacy Gallery (the Gallery) at Queensland Museum (QM) will house a new permanent exhibition exploring legacies of World War One (WWI) and scheduled to open in October 2018.
The project will incorporate a permanent home at QM for Mephisto, the only surviving WWI German Sturmpanzerwagen (tank) in the world
* The new Gallery is intended to be open by October 2018 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day on 11 November.
* AQ, as owner of the QM building is coordinating ‘capital works’ including design, construction and heritage process for the new Gallery. QM is leading the design and installation of exhibition fitout works for the Gallery.
* The project will be delivered using the ‘traditional’ delivery method’.
* On 12 June 2015, the Queensland Heritage Council listed part of the Culutral Precinct including Queensland Museum on the State Heritage Register.

Mandatory Requirement - PQC Level 3 or Higher.
