PathWest manages a network of point-of-care testing (‘PoCT’) analysers across WA Health. This testing provides access to blood test results at the patient’s bedside and allows rapid treatment decisions to be made. Blood gas analysers are one of the instruments used for PoCT to provide a precise measurement of the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the body, and similarly are used to determine the pH levels in the blood.
The proposed procurement comprises of the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of:
* Up to a maximum of twenty-three (23) cartridge based blood gas analysers.
* Offers for the ongoing supply of associated (machine-specific) consumables and provision of post-warranty service and maintenance for the selected equipment over its anticipated full operational life will also be sought as part of the Request.
