Tender Description
Centroc, and its member councils, are seeking to identify appropriately qualified and experienced consultants to undertake revaluation of water and sewer assets in accordance with the requirements set by the Office of Local Government (OLG). Councils are required to undertake the revaluation of assets at every five years, with the next round of revaluation of water and sewer assets due to be completed by 30 June 2017.
Water/Sewerage Networks are typically not required to be valued through an external valuation, however the member councils of Centroc have agreed through the Centroc Water Utilities Alliance to conduct this process to identify an external party to conduct the revaluations for:
* Water Treatment Plants
* Sewerage Treatment Plants, and
* Dams
All assets are to be valued in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards AASB 13 "Fair Value Measurement" and AASB 116 "Property, Plant and Equipment.
All valuations completed under this contract are to be finalised by 31 December 2016, with final reports due to councils by end of February 2017.
The contract will be from 1 September 2016 to 30 June 2017.
Centroc is made up of the following Local Government Areas: Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Hilltops, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Upper Lachlan, Weddin and Central Tablelands Water.
