Thriving Regional Networks Central West NSW - Regional Partnerships for Energy Outcomes
Tender ID: 274405
Tender Details
Tender Description
Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) is investing $120,000 into the Central West community to ramp up energy efficiency and other sustainability outcomes. We’re looking to partner with local, well networked organisations or individuals to identify and bring together change makers from across multiple sectors. Together you will explore a shared vision for a thriving Central West and the next steps to realise this vision.
We’ve chosen the Central West because of the huge energy efficiency potential. The Central West supports 211,000 people, and has significant populations at economic disadvantage. Individual farmers spend $1million annually on diesel, while businesses and communities pay more for energy and have less choice. By working together we have an opportunity to unlock that potential.
This work will support Action 29 of the NSW Energy Efficient Action Plan (EEAP) and the Communities Caring for their Environment (CCE) business plans, both of which aim to increase sustainability actions, including energy efficiency, in regional areas of NSW through partnering with existing regional networks.
