Lease & Operation of Sugarworld Waterpark

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council hereby invites submissions for Contract 2546 Invitation to Tender for the lease and operation of Sugarworld Waterpark.

The Sugarworld Waterpark is located within the 8.52 Ha Sugarworld Parklands. Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified operators to manage this well-established, iconic Cairns facility under a lease agreement.

Sugarworld Waterpark consists of:
* Tandem Tube Raft Slide;
* Supajet Open Body Slide;
* 4 lane Mat Racer Slide;
* Kids Interactive Play System, including tipping water bucket and 7 smaller waterslides;
* Wading and freeform pools; and
* Cafe and BBQ facilities.

Tenderers are also encouraged to propose capital investment offers commensurate with the existing facilities and services of the precinct that will enhance customer experience, in exchange for long term tenure.

Tender documents are available online from Monday 13 June 2016 (see option below). Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any submission will not necessarily be accepted.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five (5) days prior to the tender closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission to TenderLink, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours Before tender closing. Note: The tender form is available in word for completion by tenderers.

Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4.00 pm on Friday 29 July 2016. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders will not be accepted. Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
